The Home Builders Association of West Florida network includes three Councils, the Auxiliary, Multifamily and Remodelers. These councils were formed to provide specific services to the Home Builders Association and the community.

Recognizing the need for consumer education and protection in the area of home improvements was the catalyst that established the Remodelers Council. One of the primary purposes of this Council is to provide the consumer with a dependable referral service through which they can locate quality workmen with reputable backgrounds. The Council's membership is limited to firms that have proven their dependability and trustworthiness through time in business and customer satisfaction.

For remodeling or renovation projects, hiring a remodeler is a must. Hiring a Remodelers Council member who is licensed contractor makes economic sense.

Your home is your biggest investment; improvements are an important part of making that investment grow. Poor quality work can reduce the return on your invested dollars. A Remodelers Council contractor performs the following important services:

• Is responsible for all phases of the job from start to finish (planning, design, labor, materials and scheduling);

The Remodelers Council keeps its members up to date on insurance and licensing requirements, trends in remodeling and other information needed to better serve their customers.
