1999 Calendar of Events Overview
Great festivals and events are held virtually
every weekend celebrating everything from seafood, sausage and barbecue
to art, music and heritage. Springfest in the spring is a festival
full of music and fun. The Fiesta of Five Flags celebrates the founding
of Pensacola. And the annual Fourth of July musical celebration
and fireworks display are always fantastic! Also in July the Blue Angels
perform over Pensacola Beach and again in November at their homecoming
show held at the Pensacola Naval Air Station. We kick off the fall with
the Pensacola Seafood Festival, in September, featuring savory seafood,
live entertainment, children's games, and arts and crafts. And in October,
with the Pensacola Interstate Fair, 10 days of fantastic shows,
food, games, rides and fun! The first weekend of November is the time for
the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival, a picture-perfect weekend of
art, music, food and fun. Plus, this year Pensacola is celebrating its
300th Anniversary and you are assured a year full of activities
and an incredible cumulative celebration in November with parades, fireworks
and fun!
