FESTIVALS

The Pensacola area has something going on all the time. From jazz festivals to mullet festivals, we've got something for everyone's interests. Just pick a weekend and check out what's happening.

The area's premier visual arts event is undoubtedly the GREAT GULFCOAST ARTS FESTIVAL which draws more than 100,000 people for a picture perfect weekend of art and music. Artists from all over the United States travel to this annual juried show and sale held the first weekend in November at Seville Square. A special hands-on art section for kids, performing art, music and dance entertainment and great food, complete this popular event.

During the spring we have the JAZZFEST which draws thousands of music lovers to Seville Square to hear famous local and regional musicians. Spring Street comes alive with nationally famous entertainers for a three day street festival better known as SPRINGFEST. Top musicians, festivities for children and senior citizens, arts and crafts, and great food make this an exciting event.

Summer brings the FIESTA OF FIVE FLAGS, a 10 day celebration of the founding of Pensacola highlighted by great yacht and street parades. And, of course, we have our annual Fourth of July musical celebration and fantastic fireworks display over Pensacola Bay. The PENSACOLA SEAFOOD FESTIVAL is a weekend full of savory seafoods, live entertainment, children's area, and arts and crafts show and sale.

Even winter is a great time to visit the Pensacola area with all the holiday events that bring downtown Pensacola alive during CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY.
